I just recently cleaned out my closet and had a friend help me. And I realized, sometimes it takes someone else in your mind to REALLY help you get rid of things you don’t need. An impartial third party. So it inspired me to write this post and help all you ladies and gentlemen out there to get your best closet yet!
Uncomfortable Heels
I have never been a fan of an uncomfortable, pain-causing five inch heel. And now no one has to be. With block and kitten heels on the rise, or on the down, you can get that lift you need and stay on trend without causing your feet to go numb. If you haven’t taken a block heel for a spin, nows your chance. Cause seriously there are SO many cool ones out there.
Anything Too Big, Too Small Too… You Get the Idea
This one’s pretty easy. It’s no fun to put on something too small and somethings just weren’t meant to be baggy. Jeans stretch out too much and that’s life. If it doesn’t fit you, then you don’t need it. That’s really all there is.
Old Trends
I love playing with trends just as much as the next fashion lover, but I also know when it’s time to put them to rest too. This season I’ve tossed a bomber jacket or two and those lace up tops that were oh-so popular.
Anything That Doesn’t Serve You
If you haven’t heard this saying about your clothing, then I’m glad you’re here. I love these words, and I think they’re so true. Clothing should serve you in a way so that it makes you the best version of yourself. What you put on and wear every day can change how you feel – like it or not. If you put on a piece of clothing and it doesn’t make you feel confident and beautiful and ready to take on the world, then toss it (donating it would be best!).
7 Out of 9 of Those White Tees
Seriously, we all do this with this staples items. I think lol. I know a white tee is a necessity, but you don’t need 9 of them. Pick a couple that are comfy or slightly different from each other or whatever you want them to be and give away the rest. Same goes for things like denim or denim denim or military jacket or whatever your addicted too. I realized during my last closet cleaning that I had a thing for kimonos but they weren’t so different from each other that I needed all of them.
