Take Your Black Trousers Into Spring

Since giving birth, I still don’t quite fit into a good chunk of my closet. I’m somewhere between things being too big and too small. So it’s left me with only a handful or so of pieces to wear in rotation. One of those pieces is a pair of black trousers that I’m always grabbing for. And while I love them, it’s springtime, and I’m trying to inject a lot of color into my looks. I literally don’t feel right these days if I step out in an outfit without an added dose of color. I also don’t feel like black trousers are very spring. I don’t feel like black in genreral is very spring really. So I got inspired to find a way to take this piece into the season. Here’s how I did it.

First things first – color. Pairing these pants back to multiple bright colors instantly made my outfit feel season appropriate. Second things second – espadrilles. Espadrilles instantly make any look ready for spring and summer. Even your leather pants can’t resist the sunny allure of a good pair of espadrilles. Last things last – jewels. Seashells instantly have me thinking of sandy beaches and sunshine l, so I thought it was the perfect shape to accessorize this look. And although seashell jewels paired great with my winter wardrobe, they scream this time of year. Shop my look above and get inspired below with looks perfect for spring incorporating black pieces.
